NSO Manufacturing and Distributing the Martin 16

We are proud to announce that NSO is now the global manufacturer and distributor of the Martin 16 sailboat.

An agreement was struck between DSA-BC and Nature Sports Outfitters for NSO to acquire the manufacturing rights. The Martin 16 molds were shipped from British Columbia to Montreal and arrived May 10, 2011 at the factory, where Martin 16's will be manufactured.

Currently the molds are being assessed, as the plan is to change the production process to resin infusion (this is the latest technology in boat building production).

And yes, they are a well traveled bunch, more than willing to explore other racing venues, which in 2011 included but were not limited to England, Norway, Florida, Noroton (CT), Chicago, and of course waters within their own borders. 2.4 One Design Class

The 2.4 One Design Class Association was formed on February 22, 2011 to build a worldwide class of one-design 2.4 meter boats using the well known Norlin Mk III design. The purpose of this new class is twofold; 1) to broaden the appeal of the 2.4 meter boat to sailors who have a preference for sailing under a closed (one-design) rule, and 2) to provide IFDS with a true one-design as the best international boat for single-person Paralympic sailing.
